Recently, The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) released the notification of the CLAT 2025 Exam Date on the official website. CLAT 2025 Exam Date will be held on 1 December. The CLAT 2025 entrance exam will be conducted offline and online from 2 pm to 4 pm. There is no official release about the CLAT 2025 Application Process, but it is expected to begin in the first week of July. Structure of CLAT:
The CLAT Exam is conducted for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. CLAT is conducted by the Consortium of NLUs. Students get admission for 5-year integrated LLB (UG) and one-year LLM (PG) courses. It is hiring students for the NLUs for UG courses and 21 NLUs for PG courses. CLAT UG Exam:

CLAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
There are eligibility criteria for the CLAT UG as well as CLAT PG. Let’s check if you are applying for any of these-
1. For CLAT UG:

Candidate must have a minimum percentage of marks in their qualifying examination.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with at least 45% marks for all caste categories- General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 40% marks for all caste categories- ST/ SC categories.

There is no upper age limit for CLAT UG.
2. For CLAT PG:

Candidates must have an LLB degree or an equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks for all caste categories- General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories.

CLAT 2025 Application Process

On the homepage, candidates must register on the CLAT website by providing basic details and creating a login ID and password.

If you have an account, log in to the account. Otherwise, click on “Don’t have an account? Register button”

For registration, provide your name, mobile number, and password and click on the register button. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number for verification. Use this OTP to activate your CLAT login account.

After registration and login, candidates must fill out the CLAt Application Form with all personal, educational, and communication details like name, gender, Date of birth, mother’s Name, Nationality, State, Pincode, year of passing, board, etc.

They must select their preferred NLUs and upload the required documents, including a photograph and signature. make sure to upload the document in the desired format and size only.

After filling up the application form, candidates now need to pay the CLAT application fee. The application fee for CLAT UG and PG is approximately INR 4,000 (INR 3,500 for SC/ST/BPL category candidates). The fee can be paid online through net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI. There are also additional bank charges of INR 50.

CLAT Post-Exam Process

Result and Merit List: It must be noted that the result of the CLAT examination is declared online. There is a merit list prepared based on the scores achieved and this is the schedule that is used to determine the seats assigned to the candidate.

Counselling and Seat Allotment: Those who qualify for the exam are invited for counselling according to the merit list that is prepared. During the counselling process, they have a variety of NLUs and courses to choose from; therefore, they have to choose their preferred ones. Seats are allocated on different rounds and the candidates have to accept them by paying the admission fee.
